Our front-line staff are trained to be conservative in the use of electricity. Unless otherwise instructed and required by our clients, lights are turned out before leaving an area post cleaning, cleaning is scheduled in sequence to operational flow minimizing electricity usage, only areas being cleaned are illuminated, and equipment run times are kept to a minimum.
GDI uses walk behind auto scrubbers with onboard wet vacuums, which are excellent for cleaning up quick spills and minimizes the use of the mop and buckets system which have to be rinsed and washed before the next use. Our team is also trained to notice and report tap and toilet leaks which can cause hundreds of gallons of wasted water every year.
