Shift Maintenance Engineer

Location: Goodyear, Napanee, ON

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Chief Operating Engineer and Assistant Chief
  • Comply with all requirements of the Operating Engineers Act
  • Performing preventative maintenance on compressed air systems, steam lines including traps, condensate basket strainers, troubleshooting, equipment modifications, and repairs for the powerhouse and associated equipment.
  • Facilitating the proper start up and shut down of compressors and associated equipment to meet all plant requirements.
  • Oversee maintenance and documentation in accordance with ISO and QS standards.
  • Provide performance maps and indicators as required by the Goodyear Facility Manager.
  • Ensure safe and proper operation and distribution of nitrogen system from the powerhouse to plant-associated equipment.
  • Oversee the generation of all work orders in accordance with ISO standards.
  • Generate all work orders and report deficiencies to the Chief Operating Engineer.
  • Responsible for emergency shift coverage, as well as vacation shift coverage (12-hour shift).
  • Must be willing to work shutdowns and holidays.

Required Qualifications:

· Third Class Engineer
