Assistant Route Supervisor

We are currently hiring for a Assistant Route Supervisor in Ottawa, ON Location: Ottawa, Ontario Hours/Shift: Full Time Hourly Rate: $18/hr Must be able to start as soon as possible. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Dry mops, wet mops (wash/scrub) and polishes hard surface floors. The washing/scrubbing of floors is done with manual or power scrubbing equipment and the polishing is done with hand held or walk behind buffing machines. In large open applications automatic equipment may be used to perform these functions.
• Transports garbage from drop points to garbage bins or compactor. The cleaner will operate the compactor and will be responsible for cleaning the compactor at regular intervals.
• Transports maintenance machinery, where necessary, between floors and job sites.
• Uses power washer to clean various outdoor areas & parking lots.
• Various outdoor maintenance work in the winter.
• Cleans stairwells and elevator cabs where ladders are required.
• Maintains and carries out preventative maintenance procedures on floor machines, vacuums, automatic scrubbers and buffers and larger self-propelled machines.
• Other duties as needed

This position may or may not include all the above responsibilities;

• Maintaining Cleanliness of all washrooms
• Filling out Logs (training will be provided)
• Re-filling of required supplies
• Ensuring cleanliness, 7 Logs meet SOP standards

Additional Responsibilities:

• Attending to client needs and requests throughout the day.
• Requires SOP training and logging documents.
• Training employees, scheduling, payroll and enforce H&S requirements

Requirements:

• Experience carpet care, Carpet Cleaning, Floor care / Strip and wax required
• Must be able to take direction, to work with minimal supervision, and to function cooperatively as part of a team
• Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment.
• Requires attention to detail, a pride in delivering excellent service, organization, and high levels of energy and endurance.
• Knowledge about carpet care, Floor care / Strip and wax, scrubber, swing machine
• Must have a valid drivers’ license (G).
